Thing #6 (School)
For our class assignment Thing #6 I explored Pandora. This awesome music app. came installed on my Kindle Fire that I got for Christmas. I LOVE it. All you do is type in an artist, or type of music that you like...for example I typed in Florence+The machine, and it listed hundreds of artists in her genre, and that had a similar sound, as well as all of her songs. It became an endless radio station of good music. If you like the particular song that is playing it will save it to that station and create a sort of 'playlist'. If you don't like the song, it will skip it and never play it again. Like for me, I despise Rascal Flatts. My Pandora caught onto that fact pretty quickly. It was because of my Pandora that I found my latest muse, Mumford & Sons. An awesome band that combines a banjo with Dave Matthews type music, the lyrics are awesome and deep as well. I would def. recommend Pandora to anyone.

Thing # 16
Had NO idea that Google had its own version of a Facebook/Twitter...Which in my opinion is pretty much what this Google + You is... I kinda like it though. I LOVE my new iGoogle homepage. It has everything custom made to fit me and what I like. The calendar tool from iGoogle will send text updates directly to my phone and remind me if i haven't logged in for awhile. I enjoyed th to do lists as well even though I carry a daily planner around with me all the time. I can never be reminded too much, haha. I would most definitely recommend Google + You, and iGoogle to everyone. It makes things so much easier. On my Kindle Fire, you can add other peoples phone numbers to the calendar and it will send them reminder texts or emails as well, which would be fun for students to make sure their projects get done.
Flickr. Thing# 7 & 8 (School)
I just made a Flickr account? Ha, and I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. I had never heard of that particular image hosting site. I didn't even know that was what sites like that were called. I have had a photobucket account since highschool though I don't ever use it, I'm not sure I even remember the password for it. Now that I'm thinking about it, as soon as I finish this blog I'm going to see if I can access my photobucket account. But, back to this Flickr site. I took the tour that they offered, it didn't really explain much about the site. I uploaded a couple pictures and then I got side tracked by http://www.squidoo.com/ and it's suggestion of http://www.imagechef.com/ which is an online image generator. I swear I messed with this site for 45 minutes. BUT I finally got the hang of it and created this masterpiece of my dog when she was a puppy! haha-

MY FIRST BLOG-
I'VE TRIED BEING A BLOGGER BEFORE, AND IT DIDN'T GO SO WELL. I CAN NEVER SEEM TO GET MYSELF INTO A HABIT OF UPDATING IT. SO, HOPEFULLY THIS CLASS AND THIS PARTICULAR ASSIGNMENT WILL HELP ME OUT. I'M NOT LOOKING TO GET AS GOOD AT BLOGGING AS THE PIONEER WOMAN OR ANYTHING, BUT I'D LIKE TO AT LEAST FEEL COMFORTABLE IN DOING THE PROCESS. NOT SAYING THAT THE MONEY WOULDN'T BE NICE...THAT WOMAN MAKES A KILLING.
